Help Children and Women Flee from Abuse

The Women's Interval Home is only partially funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. We depend on the generous financial support of our community to continue delivering essential services to the community.

Your donation allows the Women’s Interval Home to offer programs and services that help survivors of intimate partner violence, and their children break the cycle of abuse and become equipped with the necessary resources and tools to move forward into an empowered future. Learn more below or click donate now for a secure donation with Canada Helps.

Monetary Donations

Financial donations offer the most flexibility in order to address the greatest need. Your donation will go directly towards emergency shelter services and essentials for women and children leaving abusive family settings.

You can donate online, or with a cheque that can be dropped off at the front desk.

On Canada Helps you could choose to become a monthly donor! Which would allow automatic donation payments from your credit or debit card, the ability to change or suspend your donation amount at any time, and an annual statement provided for tax purposes.

Physical Donations

New unused items will be accepted to the shelter. Please note, we have donations need list below and we are happy to answer any donation questions with a quick phone call. Please email info@womensintervalhome.com or call 519-336-5200 ex 235

For all used items, we encourage the community to use Mission’s Thrift. In return, Missions provides vouchers for our clients to shop for free!

Donation Q&A

  • We have made the difficult decision to no longer accept used donations. We have partnered with Mission Thrift and currently direct all used donations to here. Our clients receive vouchers to shop creating independence and a sense of independence for the individuals staying here.

  • Please see the list above, if you still have questions or if you’re working on a specific project, event, or collection please feel free to call Josephine for any other direction, she can be reached at 519-336-5200 EXT. 235

  • Another great parentship we have is with Fresh Start - we work with them when transitioning ladies from shelter into their new space. They are an amazing community support and a great spot to donate new items.
