Our Mission

We are dedicated to assisting victims of sexual assault and sexual abuse. 

All of our services are free and confidential offering a comprehensive range of crisis support, individual and group counselling, information, outreach and advocacy services for survivors 16 years and older who have experienced sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual harassment, incest or childhood sexual abuse.

 

Counselling Services:

Counselling services available in Sarnia, Petrolia, Forest and Kettle & Stony Point. Other outreach locations can be arranged.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE SEXUALLY ASSAULTED

  • Decide whether you want to report the sexual assault to the police.
  • Call the crisis line 519-337-3154, seek emotional support.
  • Take care of your health, seek medical attention.
  • Write down details of the assault as soon as possible.

 

WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOURSELF

  • Talk to a supportive person you can trust.
  • Keep a journal, write poetry or draw to express your feelings.
  • Read: excellent books are available.

 

WHAT YOU CAN DO IF SOMEONE YOU KNOW IS SEXUALLY ASSAULTED

  • Believe her
  • Let her know your willingness to listen, but do not pressure her to talk about the assault
  • Ask how you may be of most help to her
  • Help her to make her own decisions
  • Give unconditional support
