Break the Silence

HELP US BREAK THE SILENCE AND END DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN SARNIA-LAMBTON

The Women’s Interval Home of Sarnia Lambton Inc. is excited to host their first ever Break the Silence Fundraising and Awareness Event. This event aims to bring all ages and genders of the community together to Break the Silence against domestic and gender-based violence. Domestic violence is a public health crisis that has negative impacts on our entire community of Sarnia-Lambton.

Our goal for this event is to bring together individuals, families, local businesses, as well as partner social services organizations to generate an important conversation surrounding domestic abuse and gender-based violence while reaching our fundraising goal of $40,000 and 300 walking participants. All funds raised allow us to continue offering emergency shelter and essential programming and services completely free of charge to abused women and children in our community. Together, we can create a safe and supported community where all voices are heard, and everyone lives free of abuse.

The Women’s Interval Home of Sarnia-Lambton is a charitable organization that serves abused women and children.

We provide:

  • emergency shelter and crisis services, outreach, and education to our diverse rural and urban communities
  • Advocacy and support to individuals, families, children, and youth
  • Community education and awareness to counteract abuse, promoting social change through inclusive feminist work
  • Support in navigating community social services through our active collaboration with our community partners
