The Transitional Support Worker program is intended to support women and their children who are leaving an abusive relationship.
We can help you access the necessary supports such as:
- Housing
- counselling
- Children's Services
- Parenting Support
- Educational Upgrading
- Job Training
- Income Support
- Legal Aid
- Health & Wellness Services
We will also help you and your children devise a safety plan...
- During a violent episode
- When preparing to leave
- In your own home
- On the job and in public
The Transitional Support Worker will assist you in identifying the choices and resources available for you and your children as you establish violence free lives in the community.
The Transitional Support Worker can provide you with a supportive environment in which to define your own needs, make decisions and work towards the achievement of personal goals as you and your children begin to establish violence free lives.
- This service is available to women 16 years and over, and their children, who are leaving an abusive relationship with a primary partner.
- Women residing in Lambton County or intending to move to Lambton County may access this service.
- The Transitional Support Worker can also help you if you are planning to relocate outside Lambton County
